Continued Partnership

ISPRM has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with two sister organizations that share the same vision and commitment to advancing the field of physical and rehabilitation medicine.  With the WHO Rehab 2030 event in Geneva as background, ISPRM’s president Walter Frontera signed an MoU with Prof. Friedbert Kohler, president of the International Society of Prosthetics and Orthotics (ISPO).

ISPRM and ISPO have a long history of collaboration and have renewed their interest in working together on various educational and organizational projects.  This exchange will include the organization of joint sessions in the respective World Congresses, the establishment of a website link, and the participation in strategic planning meetings of both organizations, among others.

On the other hand, an MoU was signed by President Frontera and Professor Stefano Negrini, Director of Cochrane Rehabilitation (CR)

Both organizations share the same interest and commitment to the search for and dissemination of evidence that supports rehabilitation practices.  This MoU includes support for the organization by CR of scientific sessions in ISPRM’s World Congresses on the topic of evidence-based practice.  Further, ISPRM has made a commitment to support the work being done by CR’s committee on research methodology. We are very happy and proud of both MoU’s and look forward to making contributions to the future of PRM thru the implementation of these projects. Walter R. Frontera, MD, PhD, FRCP 2018-2020 ISPRM President
