
ISPRM SIGs Spasticity & Pain Webinar: “Beyond Tone: An Integrated Collaborative Framework for Spasticity-Related Pain”
The ISPRM Spasticity Special Interest Group and the ISPRM Pain Special Interest Group will host an inaugural joint webinar bringing together expertise from both groups to explore the critical role of pain in neurological conditions, with a particular focus on spasticity.
This webinar will showcase the clinical significance of pain in spasticity, covering key aspects from underlying pathophysiology to current management strategies.
The session will feature distinguished speakers:
- Professor Marta Imamura will present on the pathophysiology of pain, including neuropathic, nociceptive, and nociplastic pain, as well as central sensitization.
- Professor Roberto Casale will discuss cutting-edge concepts in pain associated with neurological conditions, with a focus on spasticity.
- Professor Jörg Wissel will review real-world data and landmark clinical studies demonstrating the association of pain and spasticity.
This collaborative session represents a unique opportunity to bring together leading experts in pain management and neurorehabilitation.
