ClinFIT SIG Shares Key Updates at ISPRM25 Marrakesh

At the ISPRM25 Congress in Marrakesh, the ClinFIT Special Interest Group presented important updates on its activities and future plans. The newly appointed co-chairs, Dr. Xiaolei Hu (Sweden) and Prof. Julia Patrick Engkasan (Malaysia), introduced themselves and summarized the SIG’s current work.
Dr. Hu opened the update by announcing her new role: «Hello. This is Xiaolei Hu… I’m a new co-chair in the ClinFIT Special interest group.»
Prof. Engkasan emphasized the positive outcomes of the SIG’s activities during ISPRM25:
«This year in ISPRM 2025 Morocco we had a long workshop and we had speakers updating their amazing projects on ClinFIT. We had a very productive session, and we had a lot of ideas that we would like to bring forward to the whole ISPRM committee.» .
A major announcement was the upcoming launch of ClinFIT Global Data Collection Weeks, aimed at gathering functioning data worldwide. Dr. Hu explained:
«In the coming year, we will start our global data collection, which means ClinFIT weeks. So by that, we will collect the functioning information across the world and also across different… conditions… in low, middle, high income countries, which will build up our database and facilitate the ClinFIT to use in the health care across the world.» .
Prof. Engkasan closed the update by encouraging the ISPRM community to follow the upcoming announcements:
«So stay tuned to more news on ClinFIT from us.» .
These messages highlight an active and growing SIG focused on strengthening global data collection and advancing the use of ClinFIT across diverse health settings.
