Burnout is an exhaustion of physical or emotional strength or motivation usually as a result of prolonged stress or frustration. Burnout during medical school days, residency and fellowship training can affect the health of the trainee and patient care. These burnout rates are high: medical students (28%–45%), residents (27%–75%, depending on specialty). PM&R specialty should also discuss burnout and work hour limitation in the global stage. The panel discussion and Q&A session focuses on discussing this topic.

Finding reliable and updated information on residency programs around the world as well as the various PRM sub-specialties can be difficult. Networking has been very limited since the COVID19 pandemic started and we hope to improve and facilitate communication for our members.

Our team will identify sub-specialties and experts to include in the activity to be officially announced live. Participants will be able to give feedback through a poll, and the team will help moderate discussions online via the ISPRM forums and at our upcoming congress in Lisbon!

DAY 5 (December 3rd)

This is the International Day of Persons with Disabilities! We will conclude the event with sessions topics relevant for all audiences.

The ICD 11, replaces the ICD-10 starting 1 January 2022 as the global standard for coding health information and causes of death and has classified Ageing as a Disease.
