International Stroke Rehabilitation & Recovery Conference 2023

Stroke is a leading cause of serious long-term disability and reduces mobility in more than half of stroke survivors age 65 and over (CDC, 2021). Short-term and long term-effects of difficulties in mobility, speech, and every day activities of daily living, as well as impacting how survivors think and feel (WSO, 2022).

This conference will focus on rehabilitation and recovery paradigms for those with long-lasting effects of stroke. Internationally renowned scientists and clinicians are invited to speak on the following topics, including prediction and prognostication of stroke recovery, neuroplasticity and neuromodulation, innovation in stroke care and recovery, stem cells, rehabilitation technology, spasticity, ethics, diversity and advocacy. Speakers will provide the most recent developments in the field and discuss the incorporation and implementation of these advances into practice.
