ISPRM & ESPRM Renew Collaboration

The International Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine (ISPRM) and the European Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine (ESPRM) have formally renewed their Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during the 19th ISPRM World Congress in Marrakesh, Morocco — reinforcing a long-standing partnership dedicated to advancing rehabilitation worldwide.
Signed by ISPRM President Prof. Gerard Francisco and ESPRM President Prof. Klemen Grabljevec, the renewed agreement strengthens cooperation in education, research, knowledge exchange, and joint scientific initiatives. Both leaders emphasized the importance of continued alignment between regional and global rehabilitation communities in a rapidly evolving healthcare landscape.
“This partnership will continue to thrive for many years to come,” said Prof. Francisco, highlighting the shared commitment to developing high-quality educational programs, harmonizing scientific priorities, and promoting coordinated action in global rehabilitation policy.
Prof. Grabljevec affirmed ESPRM’s dedication to supporting collaboration:
“We are proud to sustain a strong and active partnership with ISPRM, building opportunities for clinicians, researchers, and trainees across our regions.”
The renewed MoU also highlights forward-looking joint initiatives — including the future ISPRM–ESPRM World Congress in Milan in 2028, as well as continued coordination during upcoming scientific and educational meetings such as the ISPRM Krakow Meeting in March 2026.
Both organizations reaffirm their shared mission: to improve the health, functioning, and quality of life of people worldwide by strengthening Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine at every level — from clinical practice to research, education, and global advocacy.
The renewed ISPRM–ESPRM collaboration stands as a strong affirmation that working together accelerates progress for the entire international rehabilitation community.
