DESCRIPTION:\nDate: 28th Sept 2026 2.30 pm – 4 pm, Edinburgh, United Kingdom\nTitle: Beyond the MDT: Leadership, Identity and the Future of PRM\nSummary:\nThe specialty of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine (PRM) is entering a period of\nmajor transformation as health systems evolve and rehabilitation gains recognition as\nthe “third health indicator.” This interactive two-hour workshop at the BSPRM\nConference will explore the future of leadership in PRM and the unique contribution\nPRM physicians bring to modern rehabilitation services.\nRather than a traditional lecture format, the session will feature facilitated discussion,\ncase-based learning, and audience interaction with a panel of BSPRM leaders,\ninternational PRM leaders, and emerging PRM leaders. Topics will include leading\nmultidisciplinary teams, developing and sustaining new rehabilitation services,\nbecoming effective mentors and role models, and navigating changing professional\nboundaries within rehabilitation healthcare systems.
